This project required construction of a new helicopter flight line petroleum, oils, and lubricants storage and distribution facility on a new, greenfield site, to replace the existing end-of-useful-life POL facility. The new facility includes (2) 20,000-gallon jet fuel storage tanks, filter separators, collection tank, task and equipment filter pads, truck offload stations, (2) refueler truck fill stands, refueler truck parking, and a 400 square foot storage building.
Brite’s scope of work included: electrical, fire alarm, controls, telecom, lightning protection, and cathodic protection. Unique aspects of our work included: a large, freestanding MCC integrated with fuel system controls, explosion proof installations, control wiring, emergency generator, and extensive grounding requirements.
